Enquiry picks up in the west with few spot LNG ships in Atlantic

Chartering enquiry has picked up for LNG carriers, firming the tone of rates for those trading out of the Atlantic Basin region.

Owners and brokers say there are few spot LNG vessels available in the Atlantic. They cite a healthy volume of cargoes from projects such as Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG and Angola LNG, along with shipments from Algeria.
