Norwegian shipowner Knutsen OAS Shipping has confirmed an order with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for an LNG carrier newbuilding after snaring business from Spanish utility Endesa.
The company has ordered one 180,000-cbm LNG carrier with M-type, electronically-controlled, gas-injection propulsion system for delivery in 2020 against a multi-year time-charter to Endesa.
Knutsen is understood to have an option on an additional vessel.
