Hamburg ship financier Tobias Konig is making a move into the small-scale LNG sector with newly established Lexington LNG.

Konig, who was a high-profile player in the German KG market through investment fund manager Konig & Cie that he founded in 1999 and was taken over by HCI Capital last year, says Lexington has signed a number of letters of intent with shipyards for LNG carriers of about 30,000-cbm capacity.
