An LNG carrier that grounded on a Pacific reef, causing serious hull damage, is returning to service after a four-month repair job.

The 173,400-cbm Sevilla Knutsen (built 2010) left Singapore’s Keppel Shipyard this month after entering the facility on 1 May.

A spokesman for the Norwegian owner, Knutsen OAS Shipping, said “a significant amount of steel has been renewed on the ship” and one of its propellers was replaced.
