First Arc7 called home as Yamal LNG shifts into start-up mode

Sovcomflot (SCF Group)’s ice-breaking LNG carrier is poised to head to its home port of Sabetta in the Russian Arctic as Yamal LNG brings forward an expected loading date for its first cargo.

Project sources say the 172,600-cbm, Arc7 newbuilding Christophe de Margerie will not lift a third spot cargo as proposed but is set to take the Northern Sea Route (NSR) as it heads back west to resume its long-term charter with Yamal Trade.
