LNG bunkering group Gas4Sea has signed up Statoil as its second LNG bunkering customer.

Gas4Sea, which is a partnership of Engie, NYK Line and Mitsubishi Corp, will use its LNG bunker vessel (LNGBV), the 5,000-cbm Engie Zeebrugge (built 2016), to supply LNG as bunkers to four Statoil-chartered crude oil shuttle tankers in the Port of Rotterdam.

The vessels, which will be delivered in 2019 and 2020, have been ordered by shipowners AET and Teekay against Statoil charters for trading in the North Sea and sulphur emission control area (SECA).
