Jovo launches search for midsize LNG newbuilding

Chinese trader Jovo Group has launched its search for an 80,000-cbm LNG carrier newbuilding.

TradeWinds understands shipyards are working on the enquiry for the midsize vessel that would be contracted by a shipowner and chartered back by Jovo.

The ship size is the maximum that can access the trading outfit’s Dongguan terminal at Guangdong Province in China.

The current world LNG fleet boasts just nine existing LNG carriers in the 65,000 cbm to 90,000 cbm size range.
