Hoegh LNG remains confident of securing long-term contracts for all of its FSRU newbuildings before delivery despite concerns about delays to key projects, its chief executive says.

A dissolution of a consortium backing a project in Pakistan, coupled with delays in Ghana and Chile have provided headwinds for the shipowner of late.

Sveinung Stohle, chief executive of Hoegh LNG, told analysts on a conference call this morning: “We clearly have contingency plans for the assets in question.”
