US liquefaction developer NextDecade Corp plans to pursue more floating regasification and storage unit projects while progressing the FSRU it is developing for Ireland and its Rio Grande LNG development in the US.
NextDecade chairman and chief executive Kathleen Eisbrenner, speaking to TradeWinds at CWC’s World LNG Summit in Lisbon, is eyeing LNG-hungry Pakistan — which sees its LNG imports climbing to 30 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) by 2022 — as a possible new area for the company to develop FSRUs.
