Golar LNG Partners has clinched a 15-year charter for one of its FSRUs in the Atlantic Basin.

The client is an unnamed energy and logistics company.

Golar can nominate either the 129,000-cbm Golar Spirit (built 1981) or the 125,000-cbm Golar Freeze (built 1977) for the work.

Start-up is expected in the fourth quarter of 2018.

"The vessel is expected to remain in service for up to 15 years without drydock and will therefore undergo drydocking as well as some minor modifications prior to service commencement," the owner said.
