BP’s Singapore-based trading arm has signed a sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Oman LNG to buy 1.1mtpa in LNG over the next seven years.

Contracts were signed on Sunday in capital Muscat between Oman LNG chief executive Harib Al Kitani and BP LNG chief operating officer Jonathan Shepard.

The agreement, a free-on-board (FOB) contract starting from January 2018, is said to be the equivalent of around 18 LNG cargoes a year.
