Shipping events have featured LNG carrier ice sculptures and desserts in the shape of Moss-type vessels — but Smit Lamnalco went one further for the Society of International Gas Tanker & Terminal Operators (Sigtto) meeting in London last week.

Not only did the Dutch towage specialist, which was playing host for the gathering, produce a membrane-type LNG carrier in sponge cake, it also created a Moss counterpart in eye-catching orange, being gently nudged alongside by four of its own tugs.
