The days of the long-term charter for LNG carriers may not be coming to an end just yet, but owners need to prepare for a more spot orientated market.
“There has been a clear trend of the LNG shipping market commoditizing, or becoming more liquid, in the same way as the cargo market has,” Trafigura’s head of LNG Hadi Hallouche told delegates at the Sea Asia LNG Forum in Singapore on Tuesday.
