Jiangnan Shipyard scoops LNG unit for Ghana import project

State-owned Jiangnan Shipyard is diversifying its LNG portfolio after landing business to build a small-scale floating regasification unit (FRU) for an import project designed to serve Ghana.

Shipbuilding players say Shanghai-based Jiangnan recently signed a contract to build a 20,000-cbm FRU, which will be used in conjunction with a floating storage unit (FSU) as an import solution for the West African nation.
