Norway's Hoegh LNG has confirmed the charter of a new FSRU to CNOOC in China.
The company said the 170,000-cbm floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) Hoegh Esperanza will work for CNOOC Gas & Power Trading and Marketing for three years, with a one-year option, as first reported by TradeWinds in March.
It will be used in FSRU mode at the Tianjin LNG terminal for no less than an unspecified agreed minimum period each year, with the balance of the year in LNGC mode and/or FSRU mode.
