Shell has sent the last two B-class, 1970s-built LNG carriers in the Brunei LNG fleet for demolition.

Specialist brokers report that the world’s two oldest LNG carriers — the 75,000-cbm Bebatik (built 1972) and Belanak (built 1975) — have been sold to China for what is described as green recycling. Both are managed by the energy major's subsidiary, Shell Trading & Shipping Co (Stasco).
