ExxonMobil Corp has become the latest company to consider developing an LNG import facility off Australia’s east coast.
The world’s largest oil company believes the plan will help to plug a looming gas shortage from 2021 and protect its market share.
While details on the size of the facility have not been disclosed, the state of Victoria has been flagged for its location, according to media reports.
