New York-listed GasLog Partners has clinched a multi-year charter for an LNG carrier with Cheniere Energy.

The LNG shipowner, a master limited partnership spinoff of Peter Livanos-led GasLog, said the deal for the 155,000-cbm GasLog Sydney (built 2013) will start this year.

There are options for Cheniere to extend the charter for two more unspecified periods at escalating rates.

The tri-fuel diesel electric ship is serving out a charter to Shell through to September.
