BW LNG has won a contract to supply a floating storage and regasification unit newbuilding for Brazil’s $2.2bn Acu Port power project.

Those close to the Prumo Logistica-led project told TradeWinds that BW has signed contracts in the last few days with developer and Prumo subsidiary Gas Natural Acu (GNA) for a 170,000-cbm FSRU.

They indicated that the unit will be required in advance of start-up of the first of two power plants, scheduled for the second quarter of 2021.
