An ice-breaking LNG carrier for Yamal LNG’s newly fired up second liquefaction train is heading for the project’s terminal at Sabetta via the Northern Sea Route (NSR) two months ahead of its planned delivery slot.

Teekay LNG and China LNG Shipping’s 172,600-cbm, Arc7 newbuilding Rudolf Samoylovich, which is the first of five vessels contracted for the project’s second train, moved into the NSR this week after an initial delivery from DSME.
