United Ethane Carriers (UEC) will kick off with the five 85,000-cbm ethane carriers detailed in a recent letter of intent (LOI) signed between the two parties and Hunte Engineering.
The so-called Eco Star 85k ships, which have been designed with pioneering three cylinder tri-lobe tanks, are to be fixed on long-term charter to an as-yet undisclosed party, the new partners said.
