Golar told investors on Christmas Eve that it had signed a Heads of Agreement with Societe Nationale de Hydrocarbures and Perenco Cameroon for the project 20km off the coast of Cameroon.

The scheme, which will make use of Golar's GoFLNG technology, will see the Golar Hilli deployed to aid the export of gas from the Kribi fields.

“Golar will provide the liquefaction facilities and services under a tolling agreement to SNH and Perenco as owners of the upstream joint venture who also intend to produce LPG's for the local market in association with the project,” a Golar statement said.
