The Chinese shipyard has never built gas carriers before but has been commissioned by Landmark Capital to construct a 45,000-cbm LNG newbuilding with one option for delivery in 2017.
A new containment system developed by Norway's LNG New Technologies (LNT) called LNT A-Box will be used for the ships.
The technology consists of an IMO independent tank type-A placed in an insulated hold space.
