The South Korean government has lifted a ban preventing DSME working on VLGCs imposed following a second deadly fire at the yard this year.

The Yonhap news agency said the yard was allowed to resume work on five LPG carriers, citing the regional unit of the ministry of employment and labour.

The state ordered work to be stopped on 11 November, the day after a worker died in a blaze on a new VLGC, likely to have been ordered by Shandong Shipping of China.
