Gazprom Marketing & Trading is reported to have signed up for offtake from Golar LNG’s floating liquefaction project planned for Cameroon.

The deal will see the subsidiary of Russian gas giant Gazprom take 1.2 million tonnes per annum of the output from the project, Interfax reported.

The agreement marks key development for the project, which will see Golar provide a floating LNG (FLNG) production unit converted from its 126,200-cbm LNG carrier Hilli (built 1975).
