A floating storage unit (FSU) that will supply Bahrain's much delayed maiden LNG import project will be provided by one of Teekay LNG's newbuildings.
TradeWinds understands the FSU will be one of the 173,400-cbm, M-type electronically-controlled, gas-injection (ME-GI) LNG carrier newbuildings - hull no. 2416 - that Teekay has on order at DSME in South Korea.
The vessel, which will be time-chartered to the project for a period of 20 years, is due for delivery in 2018.
