United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) has become the latest shipowner to plans to develop LNG as a fuel in the Middle East region.
The Dubai-based shipowner has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Qatargas and Shell as part of the initiative.
The deal will see LNG from Qatar Petroleum and Shell’s Qatargas 4 venture to be used to fuel UASC’s recently-built LNG ready containerships.
