Bumi Armada has dismissed reports it is seeking to buy a VLCC from DHT Holdings.
Brokers were this week linking Bumi Armada with the addition of the 309,300-dwt DHT Ann (built 2001) in a $22.5m transaction.
However, representatives of Bumi Armada tell TradeWinds it has not purchased the tanker.
The vessel is expected to be the second modern VLCC offloaded by DHT in quick succession as part of a fleet renewal effort.
