Bergen-based Bryggen Shipping & Trading has secured two chemical tankers owned by BW Maritime.
BW bought the 19,200-dwt tankers Bright World (built 1998) and Bold World (built 1997) in 2006 from Bibby Line for $34m each. At the time, it was expected that the ships would continue to run in the Stolt-Nielsen chemical-tanker pool. But in Bryggen's annual report for 2008, it says it has taken the duo on time charters and that when the charters expire, the ships will continue to be managed by it.
