The crisis between Qatar and its Persian Gulf neighbours has sparked increased interest in insurance cover for delays to ships.
The dispute has a strong shipping dimension with maritime trade affected by the diplomatic rift, with some of the restrictions close to a blockade.
The Strike Club, which is the leading ship delay insurer, says no claims have been notified so far and, with just a single Qatar flag vessel in membership, the mutual has little exposure to the national fleet.
