The freight demurrage and defence (FD&D) departments of the protection-and-indemnity (P&I) clubs, along with the specialist mutuals, the UK Defence Club, Nordisk and Schutzverein Deutscher Rheder, have held a series of meetings in recent years to discuss common concerns.
The latest, in Newcastle, northeast England, in late June, followed meetings hosted by the UK Defence, West of England and Shipowners’ clubs.
