Continued growth of the Standard Club’s offshore account has led to the launch of a specialist owners’ committee to advise on the sector.
The club covers 18 million gross tons (gt) of offshore vessels — 12% of the total insured fleet of 150 million gt.
Offshore was one of the earliest diversifications of the Standard Club, which has been involved in this sector since the development of North Sea oil and gas in the 1970s.
