A second year without any general increases in protection-and-indemnity club premiums is emerging as a distinct possibility.

So far, six of the International Group clubs have indicated that they will be offering renewal on expiry terms.

Gard, UK, Britannia, Standard, Steamship Mutual and West of England are the clubs that have decided they do not need a general increase.

Skuld does not seek across-the-board rate rises so it is already clear that a majority of the 13 group clubs are staying off the general-increase escalator for the February 2018 renewal.
