A corporate lawyer with more experience of financial matters and compliance requirements than charter parties is to be the new managing director of Nordisk Skibsrederforening.
The shipowner directors of Nordisk have appointed Steinar Nyrud to run the Oslo-based freight, demurrage and defence (FD&D) club.
Nyrud, 50, has been general counsel at Nordisk member, Hoegh Autoliners and Leif Hoegh & Co for the past 13 years, and as a customer knows the defence mutual well.
