Bunkers supplier OceanConnect is pursuing another tack in its effort to seize a Hanjin-chartered containership owned by Seaspan.

The company's lawyers have filed an lawsuit in the US seeking to arrest the 4,590-teu Seaspan Efficiency (built 2003).

OceanConnect filed the litigation in a federal court in New York asking a judge to issue the warrant only if troubled Hanjin, which is seeking to restructure in South Korea, hands the ship back to its owner or if it is otherwise off charter.
