Greece’s supreme court has ordered the extradition of owner Michael Zolotas to Cyprus, where prosecutors accuse him of having bribed the country’s central banker ten years ago.

Zolotas, the former chief and still the largest shareholder of US-listed NewLead Holdings, has been in Greek police custody for almost two months after the Cypriots issued a European arrest warrant against him.

Greek authorities are expected to hand Zolotas over to Cyprus in the coming days.
