Chinese bulker operator Sinoriches is facing lawsuits in US federal courts from shipowner Efnav and bunkers supplier Toyota Tsusho Petroleum over claims it has failed to pay up on bills for its chartered bulkers.
Greece's Efnav has filed two lawsuits in recent weeks securing orders to seize assets of the Dalian-headquartered operator of time-chartered bulker tonnage over unpaid hire.
And Toyota Tsusho of Japan has followed that up with a similar asset-seizure lawsuit involving allegations that a fuel delivery has gone unpaid.
