Tidewater is locked in an arbitration battle with Gulf Island Shipyards after the offshore vessel owner refused to take delivery of a newbuilding and demanded a refund.
Gulf Island launched the case before the Houston Maritime Arbitrators' Association alleging that New Orleans-based Tidewater breached the agreement to order one platform supply vessel and was in anticipatory breach of the deal for a second.
