Ecuadorian police have arrested 25 crew members on a handysize bulker allegedly carrying 5.53 tonnes of cocaine.
An elite police unit known as the Intervention and Rescue Group (GIR) carried out the raid on the 27,300-dwt Kraken I (built 1996) in coordination with Spanish authorities, according to a Twitter post by Diego Fuentes Acosta, Ecuador's vice minister of internal security.
