Small Greek player Panomar Shipmanagement has ceased operations, putting an end to a chequered history that saw some of its vessels abandoned or briefly held on suspicion of fuel smuggling.
Official Greek documents released in recent weeks show Panomar applied with local authorities to deregister as a shipmanagement company as early as 17 February. That was just a few days before the crew of the 5,000-dwt multipurpose vessel Pan Prosperity (built 1995) complained to Panama, the ship’s flag state, that they were abandoned
