A South African court has given the green light to litigation by Western Sahara's independence movement in a move that will keep an AM Nomikos bulker under arrest.

The three-judge panel ruled that the court is competent to hear the Polisario Front's case on the merits - a decision that drew a strong rebuke by Morocco's OCP, which shipped a cargo of phosphate rock on the vessel.
