Rear Admiral Mark Buzby was sworn in as tenth head of the United States Maritime Administration (Marad) at a ceremony in Washington DC.
Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao delivered the oath to Buzby, saying that his naval and maritime background will serve as a tremendous asset to Marad.
“Our maritime industry is facing unprecedented challenges in our increasingly globalized world,” said Chao.
