Dubai authorities have temporarily closed down a well-known broker in the final-voyage insurance market.
The United Arab Emirates Insurance Authority has ordered Al Salam Insurance Services to suspend its business for three months, or until problems are corrected.
The authority cites the Dubai company for overcharging clients and working with unlicensed agents, mentioning four names "and others" as having received commissions illegally.
