The Philippines' Office of the Ombudsman has ordered the filing of graft charges against two directors of Bataan Shipyard and Engineering Corporation (Baseco).
The Inquirer daily said Proceso Maligalig and Agustiniana Avelino face allegations of withdrawing company funds without valid documentation.
Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales said that during their stint as Baseco board members, they made 13 cash withdrawals from October 2008 to December 2010 amounting to PHP 102m ($2m).
