Car maker BMW will pursue damages claims in South Africa against car carrier owners for price-fixing.

Targets include Japan's MOL and K Line, the company told The Independent daily.

BMW spokesperson Diederik Reitsma said the manufacturer was also going after other suppliers for collusion and other anti-competitive practices.

“BMW is actively pursuing damages claims against suppliers who have been found guilty or have pleaded guilty to competition law violations,” Reitsma said.
