Taiwanese container line Evergreen is teaming up with four other owners for a new run from Asia to Australia.
The company said it will work with OOCL, MOL, K Line and Yang Ming on the North East Asia-Australia Express (NEAX) service.
The weekly operation will use six vessels of between 3,500 and 3,700 teu. OOCL is providing two and the rest one each.
