Liner shipping faces a further round of consolidation and capacity cuts, which could enable lines to charge sustainable freight rates, the boss of CMA CGM has forecast.
Rodolphe Saade, vice chairman of French liner giant, said he did not shy away from tough competition, but lines needed to be able to charge shippers a fair price.
"There needs to be a right price," he told the Danish Maritime Forum in Copenhagen today.
