Members of the Asian Feeder Discussion Group (AFDG) have unveiled plans for a rate rise on some port calls early next year.
Shippers with cargoes headed to ports in Cambodia, Indonesia, West Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam face a minimum increase of $45 per teu for a laden container and $22.50 for an empty one.
Those with cargoes headed for ports such as the Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka the increases will be $90 and $45 per teu respectively.
