Evergreen Marine Corp chairman Anchor Chang is expecting an upturn in containership markets in 2017.
“We are anticipating a turnaround this year, as the industry is bottoming out,” he told a press conference in Taipei.
He said weak rates began to recover in the fourth quarter across major routes, as demand stayed healthy during tough times.
Chang is predicting an improvement in the Taiwanese line's earnings as a result.
