Israeli container line Zim has raised more than HKD 150,000 ($19,000) for charity after a project to host artists on its ships.

The company said the cash came from an auction of artworks produced by resident artists following an exhibition in Hong Kong.

More than 100 Zim customers attended the event last week.

Three pieces were sold to the highest bidders: Ziad Korban, president of Sparx Logistics, Steven Fong, managing director of OEC Group and Horace Lo, chief development officer and director of engineering at Modern Terminals, Zim's terminal operators in Hong Kong and Da Chan Bay.
